Indian women beats Sri Lanka women’s by 19 runs to clinch the gold in the Asian games 2023 played in China.
The toss was won by India and Harmanpreet kaur decided to back first on a relatively slow pitch, the women in back started the game with an early dismissal of Shefali Varma than it was Smriti Mandana and Rodrigues who steadied the innings by scoring 46 and 42 runs respectively, regular wickets tumbled in the end of the innings as India were held back to 116/7 in 20 overs.
The chase Sri Lankan begun was also quite brutal as Titas Sandhu took double wicket in her first over she later dismissed the lankan skipper Athapaththu which left Lankan 15/3, than it was Rajeshwari Gaikwad who claimed the wickets of Hasini Perera and Nikashi De Silva as Lankan could not make the runs and keep up to the run rate as Sri Lanka finished there innings 97/8 and Indian women won the gold at the 2023 Asian games.
As the National Anthem begun at the podium a proud moment for all Indian and cricket fans as they won gold at the Asian games 2023 who were joined by Sri Lankan and Bangladesh team who won Silver and Bronze respectively.
